Abandoned America: Portraits of a Forgotten Landscape
There is a profound silence that settles into a building once the people leave... A silence of decay. As the order turn back to chaos, o perhaps it's nature turning our chaos back into order. Abandoned America is an ongoing photographic exploration of these "in-between" spaces - the grand cathedrals, the shuttered institutions, forgotten homes, derelict, industry, and all buildings left to rot.... as the domestic echoes that remain when people moves on.
These galleries are more than just a study of decay; they are a documentation of moments and space in time. From the peeling lead paint of a Midwestern sanctuary to the echoing halls of sprawling state hospitals, each site tells a story of shifting demographics, economic tides, and the relentless reclamation of nature.
I operate under the core tenet of urban exploration: "Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but footprints." To preserve the integrity and safety of these locations, I do not disclose entry points or encourage trespassing. These photos serve as a digital archive for structures that may soon be lost to the wrecking ball or the elements
So please check out my work as I start to uploads years of archives of the Omaha, Nebraska, Iowa and more!
